I am a geek but technology and I have a love hate relationship. I love it and, well, you get the meaning. So here goes...
I was just testing out sending a post to my blog via my Blackberry as a text. As cool of a feature as that is, I won't use it very much because I can only post one line at a time. But for once, I embraced technology and it didn't turn it's back on me as usual.

Ok, so I don't run unless someone is chasing me and even then, I doubt I would get very far. So, when I saw one of my favorite yarn shops was doing a marathon that didn't require me to get up from my computer desk, I signed right up. EatSleepKnit.com is keeping track of how much yarn I order from them and how many bloggers click on their link or the button from my blog and check out their site. If you decide to buy something from them after visiting here, I get bonus yardage for my marathon.
So please, if you have an extra 5 seconds in this busy world, click the badge above to help me win the only 5k I'll likely ever be involved with.

The reason my blog is mostly about knitting and crocheting is not because that's the only craft I enjoy, but because of the creation of Ravelry.com. The people on that site have been generous with their time and talents and inspire me in more ways than just knitting. A couple things I've learned is to appreciate good yarn but probably most important is that I've been reminded that there are still good people out there. So, when I found Lynlee's raffle of the most beautiful yarn and the opportunity to help someone even in a small way, I jumped on it. The link to her blog is here and the prizes are beautiful. Plus, I get the warm fuzzy feeling of helping to make a child smile. What could be more rewarding?
